In the latest issue of DuJour, Kim Kardashian puts to rest rumors that she's upset about her pregnancy weight gain.

By flaunting both the Kim Kardashian baby bump and her natural complexion for photographer Bruce Weber, posing in a bikini and going practically makeup-free in her first shoot since the December 30 announcement that she's expecting.

Inside the magazine, Kim says she's learned a lot from Kanye West, specially when it comes to "privacy."

"I'm ready to be a little less open about some things, like my relationships," she says. "I'm realizing everyone doesn't need to know everything. I'm shifting my priorities."

Middleton's public outing comes just after English novelist Hilary Mantel attacked the Duchess as a "shop window mannequin" with a "plastic smile."

The author also described the mom-to-be as a "painfully thin" woman "without quirks, without oddities, without the risk of the emergence of character."

Nick Barton, chief executive of Action on Addiction, which runs Hope House, said the author was entirely wrong to label the Duchess as a "breeder."

“I can only speak of what I know, and having met the Duchess of Cambridge several times I find her to be engaging, natural and genuinely interested," he said.

The 24-year-old singer will cover Elle UK’s April issue which hits stands March 8. In the Mariano Vivanco-photographed spread, Miss Unapologetic dons a series of monochrome outfits.

FIFA Approves Goal-Line Technology (GLT) To Be Used At Both The 2013 Confederations Cup And The 2014 World Cup

After a successful trial period at the Club World Cup, Fifa has decided to implement the technology at at Brazil 2014 and at the 2013 Confederations Cup.

Fifa has announced that Goal-Line Technology (GLT) will be used at both the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup.

The scheme underwent a trial during December’s Club World Cup, and the governing body has decided to put it to further use at their upcoming competitions.

“The aim is to use GLT in order to support the match officials and to install a system in all stadia, pending the successful installation, and pre-match referee tests,” a statement read.

“With different technologies on the market, Fifa has launched a tender today, setting out the technical requirements for the two forthcoming competitions in Brazil.

“The two GLT providers already licensed under Fifa’s Quality Programme for GLT, and other GLT providers currently in the licensing process (that must have passed all relevant tests as of today) are invited to submit tenders.

“Interested GLT companies will be invited to join an inspection visit to the Confederations Cup venues, currently scheduled for mid-March, with a final decision due to be confirmed in early April.”

Uefa president Michel Platini is unlikely to follow Fifa’s lead as he is adamantly against its implementation, which means the likes of the Champions League and the Europa League will not see GLT any time soon.

Fifa president Sepp Blatter was initially against the idea of GLT, but he began to embrace such a prospect after witnessing England midfielder Frank Lampard have a clearly-over-the-line shot not given as the linesman believed the ball had remained in play.

Diamond Heist Like Plot Out Of Hollywood Blockbuster: Smokey And The Bandit Ain't Got Nothing On 'Em - Robbers Breach Gate And Steal $50 Million In Diamonds At Belgian Airport! WOAH!!! (Video)

Night had fallen. Some 20 airplane passengers had taken their seats for the short hop from Brussels, Belgium, to Zurich, Switzerland.

Unknown to them, a precious cargo was being loaded into the airplane hold along with their suitcases: $50 million in rough and polished diamonds.

But the diamonds would never reach their final destination.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, eight masked men in two vehicles burst through the perimeter fence of Brussels Airport and sped toward the aircraft on the tarmac.

The men, who authorities said wore clothing resembling police uniforms, were heavily armed. 

While no shots were fired and no one was injured, the pilot, co-pilot and a transport security guard were all threatened at gunpoint, said Ine Van Wymersch, of the Public Prosecutor's Office in Brussels.

Within three minutes, the thieves had snatched the diamonds from the hold, said airport spokesman Jan Van der Cruysse.

Moments later they left the scene, racing out through the same breach in the airport periphery through which they had entered.

The robbers, four in each car, had broken a hole in the fence where it ran between two construction sites, Van Wymersch said at a news conference.

"This was a very precise, almost military-organized and well-executed robbery," Van der Cruysse said.

He said it was a "big surprise" that such a slick heist been possible -- but pointed the finger at organized crime.

"We are an airport that is, as all international airports are, subject to very strict aviation security and safety regulations," he said.

The aircraft targeted was a regular passenger flight operated by Helvetic Airways on behalf of Swiss, Switzerland's national airline.

It's not yet clear how the thieves knew that the diamonds would be on board.

But this was not a chance holdup, said Van Wymersch, describing the men involved as "professionals."

Antwerp, the city known as the world's diamond-cutting capital, lies only about 25 miles away from Brussels.

The Antwerp World Diamond Centre has on average $200 million in stones coming in and out daily, and it takes security very seriously, a spokesman told CNN.

Lagos - Nigeria: Police Arrest A Prophet And His Accomplice With Fresh Human Parts (Viewer Discretion Is Advised)

Two persons, one of them said to be a prophet with a white garment church, have been arrested by the Police in Lagos, following  the discovery of fresh human parts in their custody.

Vanguard gathered that policemen attached to Ikotun division on patrol, accosted two men at about 12: 30 pm on Friday, with a Ghana-must-go bag. When they requested to know the content of the bag, one of the men bolted.

When the bag was eventually opened, fresh human parts were found  inside  two containers.

The  recovered parts  included  five fingers, a human heart, liver, kidney and intestines, all concealed in separate plastics filled with water. The plastics were, thereafter, tied inside separate polythene bags and kept  in the carry-all bag.

Apparently to avoid suspicion, the suspects added soup ingredients such as salt, tomatoes and two pairs of bathroom slippers in a separate nylon bag which they placed on top of the human parts.However, during interrogation, the arrested suspect identified as Kunle Olaide, claimed the bag was given to him by his friend who bolted when they were stopped.

On further interrogation, it was discovered that Kunle and his fleeing partner, slept in the  church the previous night.

Kunle confessed to be coming from the church located in Egbe area of the state when they were accosted by the policemen. His confessional statement led to the arrest of the said prophet of the church, Dare Akinrosoye.

Sources at SCID told Vanguard that investigation so far revealed that their victim was recently killed. But the purpose and circumstances surrounding the killing were yet to be ascertained.

Police sources hinted that it was obvious the suspects were taking the human parts somewhere, assuring that investigation would unravel  the truth.

When contacted, the Lagos State Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Damasus Ozoani, confirmed the arrest, stating that  investigation was still on.

Wichita - Kansas: Two Brothers Accidentally Blow Up House While Celebrating A $75,000 Lottery Win With Marijuana And Methadone! One Taken To Hospital And The Other To Jail! OUCH!!!

Two brothers having a blast after one of them won a $75,000 lottery prize accidentally blew up their house while celebrating with marijuana and meth, police say.

Authorities said one of the brothers was taken to a hospital and the other to jail after Friday's explosion in the 100 block of North Nevada Court in Wichita, Kansas.

The mishap occurred after one of the brothers had claimed a $75,000 jackpot in the Kansas Lottery.

Sgt Bruce Watts of the Wichita Police Department said the explosion was sparked after one of the brothers went to the kitchen to refuel the butane torches they were using to light their bongs.

The brother emptied a couple large cans of butane lighter fluid, leaking butane into the air.

Eventually, the butane vapor made its way toward the pilot light in the furnace, causing the blast.

Sgt Watts told The Wichita Eagle: 'He emptied a couple of big cans of butane lighter fluid during this, leaking butane into the air.

'The butane vapor cloud reach a pilot light in the furnace and as you might expect - kaboom.'

The Wichita Eagle reported that the injured 27-year-old brother is in serious but stable condition with second-degree burns on his hands, arms and chest.

He was wearing a Kansas Lottery t-shirt when he was admitted to Via Christi Hospital in Wichita.

The victim was driven to the hospital by his girlfriend, who reportedly drove away shortly after dropping the man off at the hospital emergency room.

When police arrived at the home, the other brother reportedly ran out, and was arrested after proclaiming to officers that he had meth and marijuana.

Justus Esiri Is Dead - His Son, Dr Sid, Confirms The Passing On Of The Highly Respected Veteran Actor.

Nollywood Movie Industry has lost another ICON, veteran actor Justus Esiri and Father of Mavin's Dr Sid (real name- Onoriode Esiri). Dr Sid confirmed the passing on of his Father on Twitter. 

The late Justus Esiri was born in November 1942 in Oria, Abraka, Delta State. His studied at Catholic Secondary school in Warri in year 1948 before proceeding to Maximillan University in Munich, German in 1964. 

He also attended Prof. Weners Institute of Engineering, West Berlin, 1967 and the Ahrens School of Performing Arts in 1968. 

Justus Esiri, detoured into motion picture production in 1968 as a staff of the Schiller Theater, Berlin, Germany, where he stayed till 1976. During the 1977 FESTAC held in Lagos, he choreographed the Modern Dress exhibition. 

Before his death, Justus Esiri was a member of the Order of Niger (MON). He came into limelight in the 70's through the popular Village Headmaster TV series. He has also featured in many interesting Nollywood movies.

He was Production Manager for Dinner With The Devil. He worked as News translator and Newscaster with the Voice of Nigeria (German Service).

The veteran actor also won several awards for his acting exploits including THEMA Awards, NTA Honours Awards and AMAA Awards. Esiri star of acclaimed productions like Wasted Years, Forever, The Prize, Six Demons, Corridors of Power, Last Knight, The Tyrant, The investigation, The Ghost is reputed to have performed on more TV Network drama programmes than any Nigerian actor.”

In 2012,  he was conferred with the national honours of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

According to reports, the Thespian died during the late hours of Monday 19th February 2013. He was 70.

RIP sir. You were an ICON who lived a good and fulfilled life. Your life will surely be celebrated. Condolence to Mrs Omiete Esiri, Dr Sid and the rest of your family. Adieu sir.

I've worked hard since I was 17. Except for when I was doing my National Service, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly 40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired. 


I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; Muslims burning schools for girls; Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and Madrasa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia , New Zealand , UK, America and Canada , while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance..

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.
I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20's be-deck themselves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves unemployable and claiming money from the Government.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 83.. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter and their children. Thank God I'm on the way out and not on the way in. There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on! This is your chance to make a difference.

Charles Novia's Review On Dare Art Alade’s 'Love Like A Movie' Concert And Kim Kardashian's Pointless Role

I first met Darey in 1999 at Jazzville, a unique and bohemian music club of sorts which was the core pulse of the Lagos weekend social scene for many years up till 2001 when it was officially closed. Darey was a quiet young man then who would perform a few songs and play excellent notes on the keyboard. Then, I was somewhat of a total artiste moonlighting with stand-up comedy every friday night there as the in-house emcee who took over from the late Mohammed Danjuma of blessed memory. For over a year, every Friday night I would guide the good-natured revellers through the program for the long night, with occassional singing with the band on my part. Within that period, I met Darey who actually was honing his skills through the Jazzville experience with the help of Muyiwa Majekudunmi, the founder of Jazzville. 

Darey and I maintained some staccato contact for a few years after that and I have admirably watched his growth and ascendency on the Nigerian Music Scene with pride, being a 'Jazzville alumnus' like him.

He's a perfect gentleman to the core, very composed and focused. Sterling qualities he got from his late father, the Maestro Art Alade of the popular 'Bar Beach Show' of the seventies on television. This Darey, a refined chip off the old block, a few hours ago showed the whole of Nigeria why he shouldn't be underestimated in no way. His Valentine Concert, 'Love...like a movie' is just about the best musical concert in modern Nigerian history I have ever seen. And the thousands of guests who attended all agree with me. 

The concert held at the Eko Hotel Expo Hall a couple of hours behind schedule. It took off at about 8.30pm and for nearly two hours, every member of the audience was held spellbound by the impressive mix of music, drama, pyrotechnics, visual effects, artistry and choreography of the biggest concert experience in Nigeria. 

It was Darey all the way with the guest Nigerian artists all given deliberate moderation of appearances through the songs. The expansive hall went dark when the show was about to start and the huge stage screens were suddenly transformed into huge displays of beautiful moving visuals of techo- clip art and arresting picture projections. Our eyes were made by the lighting to focus on the huge square multi-cubicles on the centre stage which was also the show's backdrop. As the projected images fluidly came on the screen one after another, Darey shockingly appeared in the middle of one of the cubicles which seemed to open up to let him out. The crowd went wild at the effect and Darey sang 'At all, at all' featuring an absent 9ice. 'Carry dey go' followed and this time Tuface Idibia was transported onto the stage by some fairy-dancers with beautiful costumes. Thereafter, Darey sang some songs from his three albums and also took the crowd through some popular ballads such as 'Lady in Red', 'Endless love' (duet with Waje), 'I'll make love to you' (featuring PSquare and Timi Dakolo), 'End of the road' and 'What a wonderful world' among others. When he performed the Frank Sinatra classic 'My Way', he twice said 'Rest in Peace, Goldie' and seemed to break down in some verses during the song. Perhaps with the poignant gloom of Goldie's death still haunting him, the other original hit ballads of his, 'Not the girl' and 'No stars' had Darey wiping off tears from his eyes while singing both songs. The audience gave him a rapturous applause when he sang 'Not the Girl' and even sang along with him. 'I like the way you are' got a lot of people grooving. 

It was not so much the songs he performed (which were all perfect) that got us all wowed but the incredible choreography of the Dance troupe, a caucasian ensemble, who mesmerised everyone with a combination of elaborate costumes, bio-constructivism and dance sequences which were simply breathtaking. Added to the lighting effects and the near-perfect stage management, the show ended with huge white balloons the size of SUV tires floating across the hall, giving the audience a retro-glimpse of childhood excitement at the balloons! There were a couple of down points in the concert though. A little microphone hitch for one of the singers during the rendition of 'I will make love to you' almost marred a perfect sing-along for the members of the audience. 

Also, the much awaited Kim Kardashian. She came in at the beginning of the show and spent just forty-five seconds or so on stage! That was all we saw of her. She introduced herself and asked the audience to prepare for a night they wouldn't forget and left. Shikena! She was even glum, as if it was a task to just be there at all! Now, I'm not a fan of the lady and I don't even watch her show but I could not understand why some ladies in the audience were screaming when she came on stage! Na wetin? Naija girls sabi overdo at times sef! Kai! One lady behind me screamed out ' I love you, Kim' as Kim walked off the stage. I turned to see who it was; an artificial looking lass with fake eyelashes. Na so dem dey take start! 
If you ask me, there was no need for Kim Kardashian at all in this concert. None whatsoever! Was she paid huge sums and flown here to just introduce Darey? It didn't make sense to many. My two cents on that would be that Darey's management knew they had a great show planned but needed the 'ooomph' factor to pull in more crowds. And Kim Kardashian was that factor, perhaps. Anyway, the show would go down in the history of concerts in Nigeria as the best. I mean it! 

What I have described has not even done justice to the concert Darey organised. Its far from it. The pleasant faces of those who attended are enough to agree with me. Everyone kept talking about the concert as we walked back to our cars and tweets and blackberry broadcasts soon started about the concert even before we left the venue! Folks, Darey has raised the bar. This kind of concert is one you can only get at the O2 in London, I can bet you on that! I'm told the show took over 15 months of planning and execution. It was worth every penny and energy spent on it. Darey has shown that he's a king in his own kingdom with territorial ambitions to conquer pretenders to his throne. I am quite proud once again of my 'Jazzville colleague'. He did the stuff national honours are made of with this concert.
