Monalisa Chinda, Nse Ikpe-Etim And Chioma Akpotha: Addressing False Rumours About E4 PR Stars

Hi all,

There have been false rumours circulating everywhere about some of our stars and frankly, i am very disappointed that some people whom i considered good friends/acquaintances went ahead and printed these stories without verifying first from either myself or the stars involved.

Many times, i ignore false rumours, as i realise that it goes with the territory and it is too much negative energy for me to keep trying to correct everyone anyway. However, when boundaries are crossed and maliciousness is taken to another level as a result, then steps have to be taken to prevent further occurrences.

Firstly, there is no truth in the rumour about Monalisa kicking Nse out of her home. Monalisa and Nse are friends and they do not live together. Nse lives in Abuja and it is standard procedure that if herself or any other actor or actress for that matter, has to travel outside their location, accommodation will be provided.

Monalisa and Nse have already contacted their lawyers regarding this issue and woe betide the person/people that started this malicious rumour, for if caught, they shall be taken to the cleaners!

Regarding Chioma Akpotha, Nollywood Actor, Mr Chinwetalu Agu, granted a recent interview here  Nigeriafilms.com - I’ll act ***e for good price----Chiwetalu Agu where he slated Chioma. Because Mr Agu is old enough to be my father and i was not brought up to insult my elders, i will reserve my comments regarding his statement and just deal with the falsehood in it.

First of all and most importantly, Chioma Akpotha has NEVER posed in her underwear and does not EVER intend to in the near future.

Secondly, please look at the poster (below) that Mr Agu is referring to. Does that look like "pant and bra" (his own words)? So why the exaggeration?

Thirdly and most annoyingly, the only part of Chioma's body in that poster that belongs to her is her head! Her head was photoshopped onto that body without her knowledge!

Initially, when snippets of stories kept filtering back to us, we assumed that they were false rumours as usual and ignored them, but after Mr Agu's interview, we decided to dig deeply and to our utmost alarm, found this poster!

Anyone that knows Chioma will tell you that she is a very decent lady. I even jokingly call her my "Miss Goody Two Shoes"; so the perpetrators of this crime are truly evil.

Chioma is very upset and devastated right now and is taking legal action against the culprits.

Finally, please please please, if you hear any rumour in future regarding E4 PR stars, kindly confirm from their management first before printing.

Tunde Kelani's MAAMi Set To Be Released At The Cinemas In Feb 2012.

Single parent, MAAMi, and her young son are desperately poor. Gifted with a living heart, enterprising spirit and brave soul, she is the centre of her son’s world, until he longs for the father he has never known – a man with a terrible secret.

Set over a two-day period, leading to the 2010 World Cup, MAAMi is an inspiring story of a poor, conscientious single parent’s struggles to raise her only child, Kashimawo who eventually, rises to intrnational stardom in an English football club, Arsenal, and becomes a national hero.

Adapted by Tunde Babalola, from Femi Osofisan’s novel of the same name, this film about love, perseverance and fate unfolds through Kashimawo’s reminiscences of his hardscrabble childhood in the southern Nigerian town, Abeokuta.

Tyler Perry Defends Hiring Kim Kardashian.

Apparently, Tyler Perry has heard the criticism surrounding him casting Kim Kardashian in his new movie, “The Marriage Counselor.” Early Thursday morning, Perry sent a letter out to fans and critics explaining his decision to add the controversial Kardashian, to the new flick. Here’s what he had to say.

I think many of you know that this is a very difficult time of year for me, so what I try to do is make sure that I’m working during this time. All I wanted to do was shoot a great film and try to keep my mind off the holiday grief that I have been experiencing for the past two years. I could not have imagined I’d be getting all these emails about Kim Kardashian.

I HAVE SEEN THEM!! YOU HAVE BEEN HEARD!! …LOL. Now, may I say something? Can a brother get a word in?….LOL. Y’all gave me a new movie title, Tyler Perry’s “Diary of a Mad Black Woman Cause You Hired Kim Kardashian, Don’t Make Me Take Off My Earrings and Boycott Yo A**.”…LOL.  Some of my ladies are upset. Ok, all jokes aside, can I have my say? Will you at least here me out?

I was in a Mexican restaurant and the cutest little old woman stopped me and said, “I want to talk to you about KAR-DAT- CHA-NEM.” I said, “Ma’am?” She said, “What is wrong with you putting her in the lead role of your movie?” By the time I explained to her that she was not in the lead role and why I thought she should be in “The Marriage Counselor”, she said, “Oh, I see your point and I can’t wait to see the movie.” So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to share with you what I said to her then maybe you’ll see why I wanted her in the film.

This movie is about a young lady named Judith (Jurnee Smolett), who grew up in the countryside of Virginia in a trailer park. She was raised in the church by her mother Sarah (Ella Joyce). Judith married her childhood sweetheart Brice (Lance Gross) and had the perfect life until she graduated college and went to work in the big city.  After college, all she wanted to do was be a marriage counselor, but the only job she could find was working for a matchmaker named Janice (Vanessa Williams). 

Janice has several employees that work for her, including a woman named Ava (Kim Kardashian). Ava is constantly trying to influence Judith on everything from her shoes to her hair. Judith meets a man at work named Harley (Robbie Jones). 

Harley challenges everything in her life from her marriage to her husband to her faith. Meanwhile, Brice (Lance Gross), Judith’s husband works at a pharmacy owned by Mrs. Waco (Renee Taylor). Brice has just hired a coworker named Melinda (Brandy), who has some major demons that she is running from.

In the end, the choices that both of these young women have made come crashing down on them and their lives will never be the same.  I wish I could tell you more, but I don’t want to ruin it for you.
