Hollywood Weekly Honour Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio Of Akwa Ibom State And Invite Him To Hollywood To Receive A Prestigious Award For His Support Of Nollywood & African Entertainment

E4 PR is proud to present to you, our second African profiling in Hollywood. As you are well aware, the first was the Nollywood cover with 4 of Nollywood's best superstars which is up here on the right hand corner of my blog. In case you missed it, click on the photo of the stars to read it.

I am using my contract with Hollywood Weekly to recognise people that support Nollywood and African Entertainment in general, and as you know, Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio is well deserving of this honour. We have all seen him sponsor movies in his state and attend movie premieres. We need other governors to emulate him, and this is my way of encouraging others to follow suit.

Governor Godswill Obot Akpabio has been invited by Hollywood Weekly Magazine Awards (HWMA) to receive the prestigious award of Best Governor For His Support Of Nollywood & African Entertainment, on the 17th of November, 2012, at their Iconic Sunset Gower Studios in Hollywood, where they'd be hosting their yearly star studded red carpet event for the American Music Awards (AMA) taking place on 18th November, 2012.

In the meantime, while I wait for the hard copies of the magazine to arrive so that I can circulate as many as possible to the press, here are the scanned copies of the article. You can also read and download the on-line version to your ipads and iphones from Hollywood Weekly Magazine's website here:

Well done to Governor Akpabio for being the first governor in Nigeria to be given this prestigious honour. You deserve it sir. Click here also to read Victor Akande's article in The Nation Paper about Governor Akpabio's award.

Charlyboy’s Linda We Must Possess - By Adoyi Ali

I write in relation to all the questions that have been directed to my table regarding the supposed multiple character of the Areafada. I write to respond to the growing concern over the Linda’s character that will supposedly sit on the judges’ table of the Nigerian Idol.

I write to talk about the ingenuity of Charles Oputa, the brand creator who has given us the essence of his existence, using different imageries in order to bring to bare the reality we seek.

I write to also assert that unless you have the foresight of reading ahead of the book placed before you, thinking ahead of your head, and of course with the capacity to live ahead of your time, you will continue to wonder at every philosophy developed by the brand. His ways are not conventional. Charlyboy has his face covered with an imaginary mask, and until you have the mask unveiled professionally, you will continue to overwork your brain.

Aluu 4 victims: Ain't No Love In The Heart of the City By Big L & Tipsy Ft. Yetty

Two of the victims, Lloyd (aka Big L) and Ugonna (aka Tipsy) were also aspiring musicians and recorded this song together before their brutal murder.

Isn't is ironic also, that the song says "Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City"? No love...no regard for human lives. Primitive heartless BARBARIANS having the audacity to torture and butcher people's lovely children! ANIMALS! God is on the throne and they will pay dearly for their EVIL actions. I don't even want to get started. I have been ill from weeping for these boys. If only tears could bring them back...

God is not asleep. RIP Ugonna, Lloyd, Tekena and Chidiaka. You are in Heaven with God now and He will surely avenge your deaths IJMN - AMEN. RIP guys :(

Charlyboy's Press Statement On The Murder of 4 University Of Port Harcourt Students

It is with a heavy heart that I express my heartfelt sympathy for the families of the Students of the University of Port Harcourt who were gruesomely murdered by the Aluu community in Rivers State.I also wish to commiserate with His Excellency, Chief Rotimi Amechi as well as the Students of the University of Port Harcourt for the damage done to the state and the institution as a result of this heinous act. It is with obvious angst  that I would like to state that the incident of the last five days has reached a point of National concern as we could attest to the fact that well-meaning Nigerians are sincerely worried that the human community(Nigeria) is gradually turning into an ecosystem where the higher animals feast on the lower ones.

The resentment, the hatred, the bigotry that we experience on a daily bases are unimaginable that the clock is almost ‘ticking’ against us, and I blame myself and like minds for not living up to the task of national activism. Of course, we have been on the quiet side, maybe grumbling and watching things unfold in the most absurd manner. Today, our country has been turned into a theatre of Absurd and Gorilla theatre. It baffles me to have some people in human flesh and soul  descend on fellow human beings with all available weapons to sniff the life out of them in the most horrifying manner. Unsatisfied with their actions, they went ahead to set them ablaze. That was obviously a murder case, and there will be no justification for such an act of man inhumanity to man. Every right thinking Nigerian must be ready to stand against injustice such as this, even as we hope that in the case of the Aluu murder, the law will not spare those involved.

This obviously may not be what you want to hear from me at these trying times. Retribution is the only thing everybody thinks of now.  “An eye for an eye” is the message we promote across the country today, but an “eye for an eye will leave everybody blind.” All we are waiting for is for someone to snap the tip of his fingers and we will join in the confrontational movement. We want to confront the killers; we want them dead the same way they squeezed breathes out of others. We want to storm the streets and violently destroy states institutions in protest. This is what I would have loved to encourage because I feel terribly hurt like everybody.  However, the imperative question is, for how long are we going to continue to pay evil for evil without necessarily looking at the course of this national uproar? We must ask questions! Yes, I agree with you; but our questions must be in the most reasonable terms and approaches. Yes! We must be confrontational in our approach, yet the power, the pitch, and the echo of our voices should be our only available weapons.

Tiwa Savage Ft. Leo Wonder - Ife Wa Gbona (New Video)

I'm so pleased that your hard work is being acknowledged, Leo. Kudos to you bro!!!
