Burkina Faso hitman Aristide Bance told supersport.com, a day after they lost the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations final to Nigeria, that the Super Eagles did not exhibit the standard he expected during the clash at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.



The FC Augsburg striker said he was expecting a merciless showdown from the Vincent Enyeama-led squad but met a relatively assailable side that struggled against them despite the avalanche of supporters and favourable previews.



“Although we lost, I don’t feel personally vanquished. I have to congratulate the Super Eagles for their victory but I can say Burkina Faso didn’t lose,” the 28-year-old said.



“Nigeria were lucky to have scored first, otherwise it would have been difficult for them to equalise and carry the day. The encounter was quite balanced. For a team reaching the Afcon final for the first time and holding a two-time champion to a narrow one-goal win I can say it’s a victory for us and great inspiration for the future of the team,” he said.



Asked if Alain Traore’s presence would have made some difference in their favour, Bance cancelled out that possibility with the absence also of Nigeria’s rocket forward Emmanuel Emenike.



“If you say we would have probably had an edge if Alain Traore had played then you can as well say Nigeria could have done much better had Emenike played.”

Paul Gascoigne In Intensive Care In Arizona Hospital After Reacting Badly To Detox Treatment: Gazza Is Being Closely Monitored After Years Of Alcohol Abuse Have Seriously Damaged His Vital Organs

Paul Gascoigne was critically ill in intensive care last night after collapsing at an American rehab clinic.

The alcoholic football hero, 45, was rushed into hospital in Tucson, Arizona, just days after arriving at the Cottonwood rehabilitation centre.

Sources close to the England legend say the clinic's rigorous detox programme had proved too much for him.

One friend said: "Once you go to a facility like this the first thing you do is go through a detox programme.

"He's really struggling with it. It's been very hard on him.

"You have to go through the detox before you can attend the rest of the programme.

"It's been a tough period for him.

"We're waiting to hear from the people looking after him but we are hoping things go well."

The source added Gazza was believed to be in a stable condition but doctors were monitoring his condition closely.

He was receiving round-the-clock care from medics amid growing concerns that years of alcohol abuse have done serious damage to his vital organs.

Gazza was flown to the £6,000-a-week clinic by celeb pals including DJ Chris Evans, 46, and ex-teammate Gary Lineker, 52, last week after he was spotted buying booze in his current hometown of Bournemouth, Dorset.

They sprang into action amid new concerns over the former Spurs, Newcastle and Lazio ace's dishevelled appearance and erratic behaviour.

Film shot at a recent charity event showed him crying, swearing and slurring words.

Chris Evans said last week: "A serious addict can only be helped if they really want to be. It is my understanding that as of approximately 10 o'clock Monday morning Paul asked for that help.

"Then and only then could a select group of his friends begin to put into operation the latest phase in a long fight to rid him of his demons.

"It's his only chance but at least now he is going to get that chance."

Another supporter, former England cricket captain Ronnie Irani, said Gazza's pals took action after the stricken footballer had what he called "a mad six weeks".

Ronnie, 41, said: "I had a chat with Chris Evans and he asked how we could help him.

"We knew we just had to get him on this flight, out to the Priory in Phoenix.

"I called British Airways and explained the situation, that we had to get him some help. He needs it, and if not, who knows what's going to happen?"

Ronnie revealed Gazza had turned down offers of support from the Professional Footballers' Association.

He added: "Paul's had all the help he could possibly have right in front of him from the PFA."

The Cottonwood centre's website says its treatment involves "a thorough medical evaluation followed by medically managed detoxification."

Patients are encouraged to identify their loss of control over booze and are given counselling to identify the problems caused by their boozing.

YouTube Blocked In Egypt For 30 Days As Punishment For Hosting A Film Titled "Innocence Of Muslims" (Watch Video)

You Tube has been blocked in Egypt for 30 days in a move to punish the site for hosting a film which labelled the nation 'anti-Islamic.' The video-sharing website was ordered to be be blocked from Egypt's internet IPs by Egyptian Judge Hassouna Tawfiq, saying that the film which was hosted on the site was "offensive to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad."

The 14 minute film titled "Innocence of Muslims" allegedly portrayed the Muslim Prophet as a womanizer and paedophile. The short clip was produced by a man who was born in Egypt and now living in the U.S.

Despite the judge's ruling, an appeal is highly likely, according to reports.

In the past, the country had ordered porn sites and other websites to be banned. However, due to the high costs of actually applying the ban in the country, the rulings have never been carried out.

Gamal Eid, a human rights lawyer, told AP: "This verdict shows that judges' understanding of technology is weak. The judges do not realize that one wrong post on a website does not mean you have to block the entire website."

He also suggested that an appeal should be made and that the Egyptian government should specify to judges that certain pages be blocked from a site, rather than the entire website.

NIGERIA, Abule-Egba - Lagos: Woman Gives Birth To A Cute Baby Girl In Keke Marwa (See Photo)

A woman, Mrs. Mutiat Aileru, has delivered a baby girl in a tricycle in Abule-Egba area of Lagos. The woman delivered the baby at about 5pm. A reporter was walking by the roadside near Awori bus stop when a woman suddenly ran out of the commercial tricycle, Keke Marwa, and raised the alarm that her relative was delivering a baby inside the tricycle they had boarded.

She had called for urgent help from the owners of the shops by the road and women promptly removed the wrappers on them to shield the woman in labour. Immediately the woman was delivered on the back sit of the tricycle, the reporter quickly took photographs of the new baby, a girl. The women rushed to pick her up, some cleaning her, others cuddling and others yet bringing accessories to assist in the delivery. Some even heaped verbal invectives on the reporter for daring to take the baby’s picture.

“Are you mad! Why are you taking the baby’s pictures. Who you be? If you are not careful we will beat you up here. Why would you take the photograph of a woman delivering in a tricycle? You don’t even know how to do your work.” Many of them said. There would have been a mob action, had the reporter not feigned calling on the police to come to the area. It was then the mob gathering against the reporter receded.

While the women were still busy attending to the mother and her baby, the reporter took on the driver of the tricycle in camera. Asked how the journey of the miraculous delivery began, Prophet Ariyo Ajibola of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Erimo in Ijaiye-Ojokoro, who drove the tricycle, said: “It was at Ikeja computer village that the two women that followed the mother approached me to beg me to assist them to carry a pregnant woman to a hospital in Abule Egba.

At first I was reluctant but when they began to plead, I obliged. Moreso, as a prophet, I had an inner conviction that there won’t be any problem. And I took them in. But when we got past Agege, the pregnant woman began to moan in serious labour. She became hysterical and her people began to panic. But I was relaxed and praying silently for God’s intervention, I was calming the women down. At a point, I took one-way to beat the gridlock on the road.

Then suddenly I heard a loud noise of a rushing liquid, when we just left Abule-Egba bus stop and the other women began to raise the alarm that a baby had just been delivered. And they began calling for help. As a man and a Christian, I just thank God for what has happened. It is just a miracle and I will give a special thanksgiving to God once I get to the church for an evening programme we have today. I asked them to pay N1000 but they offered N700 and I accepted but even if they don’t pay me, I won’t be unhappy.”
Daily Sun also spoke to the mother of the baby after she had been cleaned up and positioned well in the passengers’ seat of the tricycle, feeling weak, she told her story: “I am Latifat Aileru. I am from Ibadan and my husband from from Kwara. We live in Ipokia. I came to meet my husband’s people in Oshodi. I am so happy that I delivered the baby safely.”

NIGERIA, Potiskum - Yobe State: Unknown Assailants Kill 3 North Korean Doctors, Beheading One Of The Physicians. :(

Here is how ALJAZEERA are reporting it: Three South Korean doctors (they are now confirmed to have been North Korean - see red highlight below) have been killed in a pre-dawn attack in Nigeria's northeastern town of Potiskum, police say. The motive of Sunday's attack was not immediately clear, but a security source told Al Jazeera that preliminary reports suggested it was a robbery that resulted in the medics' deaths. Yobe State police commissioner Sanusi Rufai, initially said the victims were Chinese. "Unknown attackers scaled over the fence of an apartment in Potiskum housing three Chinese doctors around 1am and slit their throats. No arrest has been made," he told the AFP news agency on Sunday. Residents said the dead were employees of the state ministry of health and had been living in the volatile city for one year. Nine health workers who were administering polio vaccinations were shot dead in the northern city of Kano on Friday. Kano, Nigeria's second largest city, has been regularly targeted by Boko Haram, an armed group which has condemned the use of Western medicine. The group is also active in Potiskum, where Sunday's killings happened, but there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the killings. "It is still premature to point any accusing fingers but we have commenced investigation to unravel the killings," Rufai said. The deaths Saturday night of the doctors in Potiskum, a town in Yobe state long under attack by the sect known as Boko Haram, comes after gunmen killed at least nine women administering polio vaccines in Kano, the major city of Nigeria's predominantly Muslim north. The two attacks raise new questions over whether the extremist sect, targeted by Nigeria's police and military, has picked a new soft target in its guerrilla campaign of shootings and bombings across the nation. The attackers apparently struck at the North Korean doctors inside their home, said Dr. Mohammed Mamman, chairman of the Hospital Managing Board of Yobe State. The North Korean doctors had no security guards at their residence and typically travelled around the city via three-wheel taxis without a police escort, officials said. By the time soldiers arrived at the house, they found the doctors' wives cowering in a flower bed outside their home. At the property, they found the corpses of the men, all bearing what appeared to be machete wounds. An AP journalist later saw the North Korean doctors' corpses before they were moved to nearby Bauchi state for safe keeping. Two of the men had their throats slit. Attackers beheaded the other doctor. The doctors lived in a quiet neighbourhood filled with other modest homes in the town. Initially, doctors at the hospital who worked with the physicians identified them as being from South Korea, while police identified the dead as being from China. Ultimately, Mamman of the health board told journalists those killed were from North Korea and had lived in the state since 2005 as part of a medical program between the state and the North Korean government. Boko Haram, whose name means "Western education is sacrilege," has been attacking government buildings and security forces over the last year and a half. In 2012 alone, the group was blamed for killing at least 792 people, according to a count by AP. The sect, which typically speaks to journalists in telephone conference calls at times of its choosing, could not be reached for comment Sunday. In recent months, however, Boko Haram has not claimed any attacks, raising questions about whether the shadowy sect that already had a loose command-and-control structure had splintered into smaller, independently operating terror groups. Since late 2011, Potiskum, about 500 kilometres (300 miles) northeast of Nigeria's central capital, Abuja, has been targeted by Boko Haram fighters in attacks. The attacks killed dozens at a time and brought the deployment of a heavy contingent of police officers and soldiers to the town. For the last few weeks, however, the town has been quiet. Soldiers still mount a series of checkpoints throughout the town, where in the past the military has put neighbourhoods in lockdown and launched door-to-door searches for militants. In a statement Friday, President Goodluck Jonathan condemned the killings of the polio workers and promised that efforts to cut child mortality wouldn't be stopped by "mindless acts of terrorism." "While the government will continue to do everything possible to track down and apprehend agents of terrorism in the country, the president has directed that enhanced security measures be put in place immediately for health workers in high-risk areas," the statement read.

Webisode 3 titled ‘Very Stacey’ offers an in-depth look at the inner workings of a key character and a number of scenes involving her. Stacey, played by KD Aubert is pivotal to the story as the "what if" - or "if only" - character who may have changed the shape of things to come for the protagonist Ade Afolabi.

Gangnam Style - Sleeping Baby Amaya Wakes Up To Dance To The Popular Tune (Must Watch - Mad Funny)!!!

Sure "Gangnam Style" is overplayed. And yes, the tune is now being used to sell pistachio nuts. But darn it — Psy's monster hit still has the power to make people dance. Even babies stuck in car seats.

Behold Amaya. The little girl is sound asleep in the family car until her parents turn on "Gangnam Style." The moment the song starts thumping from the speakers, Amaya's arms and legs start moving. And there is no stopping her.

While young Amaya shakes her arms, legs, fingers, and toes, an older child, perhaps Amaya's sibling, giggles uncontrollably, wiping tears of laughter from her cheeks.

While Amaya's moves are undeniably entertaining, if you ask us, she doesn't look particularly happy to be dancing (note the slightly distressed look on her face). Still, she's not about to stop moving.
