Nigeria BB Blogger, Nicky Opens Up on Blogging

"As far as I know, this is big business, and so far, we are doing very well. In the next 2 months, our staff strength will move to six. This is where we make our pay at the moment." These were the exact words of a Nigerian Blackberry blogger,Nicky.

When he started his Blackberry blogging months ago, many had found it ridiculous as they thought nothing of such was actually going to work, considering that many Nigerians are mostly engaged in the main internet blogging.  He was not budged but remained consistent.

However, Nicky's  innovation has taken him to another level as his Blackberry contact continues to grow as a result of his constant blogging. He is now widely known as the pioneer of Nigerian BB blogging, even as he gets event invitation from all over the country like every other journalist.

DailyPost caught up with Nicky at an event in Abuja where he was invited to do a live BB blogging, and this is what he told our correspondent, "Blackberry blogging is like every other blogging. There is absolutely no difference, only that our own blogging is more pictorial than written words. We give details with Displayed photos on our Blackberry devises. All you get is a brief of the text. First, you get a trending issue, especially pictures that will not lead to too many questions, do a concise summary, and just put it up. This changes after every 20 minutes, so you need to be on a watch-out.

Ask whether he has a blog archive as his reference point, he said, "the magic is that, the blog administrator has a very reliable archive for references, the only difference is that our readers should always watch out for our updates as they may never get what we take down from their faces. Another notable difference is that it has limited viewership, since you must be in the bloggers contact to get the update. However, we can build as many as 20 thousand viewership as we continue to expand, it's about having different BBs to work with. We are building an empire, and we won't stop.

Responding to the fear expressed, that such Blackberry may crash, Nicki said, I have backups for all my BB. "All you need to do is to add authentic Nicky to your list and you will enjoy the best updates. We cover all kinds of news". Nickysaid.

He also responded to the criticisms from some quarters that he was only wasting his time and energy. He said " I think people should just learn new things. As far as I know, this is big business, and so far, we are doing very well. In the next 2 months, our staff strength will move to six. This is where we make our pay at the moment. Presently, I have two people on my payroll, how many of them have created jobs for the teeming Nigerian youth?"
