Yemi Blaq & Bimbo Oshin Spotted With Tunde Kelani On The Sets Of His New Movie In Ondo State.

Popular Nollywood Filmmaker, Tunde Kelani, is definitely cooking up something new after his Blockbuster movie, MA'AMI.

The supernatural, intelligent and hardworking film-maker, was spotted recently on the sets of his new movie, which is untitled for now, with one of my favourite eloquent Nollywood actors, Yemi Blaq, and Yoruba Movie actress, Bimbo Oshin, in Ondo State.

Go Yemi!!! Yessur!!! This sounds like it is going to be super cool. Can't wait.

Vogue Italia Features Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, In Their Vogue L'uomo Section - May/June 2012 Edition.

Nigeria’s president, Goodluck Jonathan, has been featured in the Vogue L’uomo section of the May/June 2012 edition of Vogue Italia.

The feature details the interview which the magazine’s editor Franca Souzani, had with the President, the Vice-President Namadi Sambo, as well as the Ministers of Petroleum and Culture and Tourism.
During their chat, President Jonathan revealed plans to revive the textile industry, set up an African luxury shopping area similar to California’s Rodeo drive, in Lagos or Abuja, along with fashion weeks of repute, such as Mercedes Fashion week in the UK.
Less than a month ago, US based TIME magazine named Jonathan as one of the most influential people in the world.

Below is the feature as contained in the magazine:

It’s Thursday, January 5 when we land in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital. The ultimatum expires today of Muslims to Christians. We have police and army escort us to have total security. We are going to the Palace of the President and does not have much time. At 6 pm, at best, we should take off. No real dangers, reassure us, but better to avoid risks. The streets everything is calm and there is no confusion, and Abuja is beautiful with lots of greenery and imposing houses hidden behind high walls.

It is a city rich-looking and with a totally clean everywhere. We’re late for our appointment because of the flight before ours, we must also pass an endless series of checks: first stop for cars, second for us to photograph and inspect the documents, then searched us and deposit all cameras and mobile phones. The situation is not simple at this time in Nigeria and all do their work carefully.

The real disappointment is not being able to get the camera equipment. They understand that it is a problem for us and offer us a book with many photos of the president. We can choose the ones you want, tell us. ‘No‘, explain politely, ‘the pictures we do, we have a style of Vogue and we want to keep‘. I stay with the book in hand and with all eyes on me, yet I could almost ask themselves what to say or do. ‘Calm down, let me speak with the president and then we’ll see.’ Among the disappointment of a photographer and cameraman, and the uncertainty about the arrival of the president I feel bad for everyone.

A guard and the chief of protocol we are going to welcome in the Oval Office where he should be held soon after our meeting. I turn and look at all my group a bit ‘down. ‘Smile please, and not a request’. Welcomed, therefore, our smiles and himself with a good-natured expression under a wide-brimmed hat, elegant in a blue tunic and trousers, and a gold chain that slips into the pocket, enters Goodluck Jonathan, President of Nigeria, elected April 16, 2011.

It is followed by the vice president, Mohammed Namadi Sambo (with him in the photo on this page) – who is a Muslim while he was an evangelist. Enter also the oil minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, a beautiful and elegant woman in traditional dress, princess, with a master’s degree at Cambridge, who now commands – first time for a woman – the most important Ministry of Nigeria, the eighth exporter of crude oil per world.

Impressive in its size and authoritarian with a broad-brimmed hat like the President, also comes Edem Duke, the Minister of Culture and Tourism. We sit. I am close to calling Goodluck Alison-Madueke to take the parol a. The Minister explains in detail our design firm and Fashion 4 Development and our intention to dedicate a whole number to Africa ‘photographing’ from a positive point of view, just to give the idea of a country that is not only death and hunger, but it has great potential for growth and job openings towards new initiatives and development.

Advocates both projects and looks at me with kind eyes that do not allow replies. ‘Stories and convincing’, seems to say. And so I begin. ‘President, thank you for accepting our request to interview her. It is true that we are a newspaper image, but I think there is much to do in this regard in your country , which currently does not appear as rich and secure while having oil and great prospects. ‘ I stop, interrupted by his gaze and his voice informs me that the motto of the country right now is ‘Rebranding Nigeria’. ‘Really I could not agree more.

But I want to revive your textile industries that were once strong and that since there is oil have been neglected, if not forget it. And why sell the patent for the tie dye-Chinese who move so the production in their country? In this way, within a few generations, there will be your knowledge of this tradition. If only we would produce in Nigeria would work for your local and not disappear culture. You have a potential crazy, just look what happened in Brazil and many European and American companies produce in China. Why this is not possible to do it again in Nigeria? ‘.

She smiles and missing his head. I continue: ‘All Nigerians rich spend their money abroad because here there are no shops, no hotels from African flavor and chic restaurants, meeting. Why not build a Rodeo Drive’ Africa ‘in Lagos or Abuja with stores and shops with both foreign and Nigerian products? ‘. I stop, maybe I’m exaggerating. He looks at me and says: ‘You know our designers: they are good and have great creativity.’ ‘Sure’, I continue. ‘Have you for example Duro Olowu who is famous as Louboutin America and Europe, as well as many other designers. Mercedes sponsor many fashion weeks and he could talk mto do something here too. In short, ideas are not lacking, need do, and quickly. Nigeria is, in north-central Africa, the country with more opportunity. Why not use them? ‘.

Now I am silent. The President looks at the ministers, he looks happy and seems to share what I said. Speaks up and agrees to help us to ensure that this does not remain just a good speech. ‘I agree, I agree and this will be for us the basis on which to start thinking. We have a variety of problems and some very serious, but this will not prevent this country to progress and change its image. And also because he spoken out in no uncertain terms. Is there anything I can do while you’re here though for a few hours? ‘.

I laugh and raised directly, without wasting a second, I reply: ‘Yes, a photo taken by us in Vogue style. Just a nod and they’ll get all the equipment.’ He looks around with his gentle smile and shy. ‘How to say no?’ She says. While I go out, the Minister of Tourism says: "It’s always true that dynamite comes in a small package".

Desmond Hatchett (aka 'octodad'), Previously Reported To Have Fathered 30 Kids With 11 Women, Actually Only Has 24; Unable To Pay Child Support Because He Has Been Incarcerated Since 2009. (Watch Video)

More details have emerged about 'octodad', Desmond Hatchett, 33, a native of Knoxville - Tennesse, who became something of a local champion 'celebrity' in 2009, after he allegedly fathered 30 children with 11 women and set a Knox County record for his ability to reproduce. Nine of those children were born in the last three years and at the time, Hatchett  vowed, "I'm done!"  in a TV interview, saying he wouldn't father more children.

Desmond Hatchett became 'newsworthy' again last week, after news about him not paying child support, filtered out, causing a huge outrage.

Well, according to CNN's Brooke Baldwin, Hatchett, in actuality, only has 24 children and the reason he has been unable to pay child support in the past few years, is because he has been incarcerated since 2009 and won't be released until 2014.

Mark Zuckerberg's (Facebook CEO) Secret Wedding Details Revealed - Interesting New Photos Unveiled Also

Unless you live under a rock, you must have heard about Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg's wedding last week. Anyway, in the past hour, more details about the billionaire's wedding have emerged and below is how Mashable are reporting it:

A little more than a week after the big day, new details have surfaced about Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s secret wedding to his longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan.
The private wedding, held in the backyard of their $7 million home in Palo Alto, Calif. in front of about 100 guests, came just one day after Facebook went public and was valued at more than $100 billion.
In the past few days, we’ve learned more about the couple’s nine-year relationship — in fact, according to a New York Times  report, Chan purchased her dress last October, indicating the marriage had been in the works for at least the past seven months.
In addition, the couple had an agreement about how to approach a work and personal-life balance. Chan required Zuckerberg to spend at least 100 minutes of time together each week, as well as one date night and a two-week vacation each year.
Details about the wedding have also come to light, including the modest fare served to guests, songs the couple danced to and who accompanied Chan down the aisle. Find out about those specifics, including new, unseen photos here: Mashable

Freida Pinto & Jane Fonda Rock Atelier Versace Dresses At The Cannes Film Festival 'Rust & Bone' (De Rouille et D'Os) Premiere + Erm...Photo Of Naughty Jane Copping A Feel! Lol!!!

Freida Pinto, Slumdog Millionaire star actress, dazzles in this lime green Atelier Versace dress at the Cannes Film Festival, 'Rust & Bone' (De Rouille et D'Os) Premiere. According to Bollywood-Dhamaal:

The ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star’s sartorial choices this year shows she has come a long way from the time she burst onto the red carpet scene post the resounding success of her debut film. Be it her pink Michael Angel gown on the first day or the lime green Atelier Versace number on Day 2, Freida's red carpet looks at the Cannes film festival this year shows she has transformed into quite a fashion diva.
The 27-year-old actress’ pink strapless gown with a thigh-high slit for the premiere of ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ on Wednesday was in keeping with this year’s red carpet trend set by Angelina Jolie with her famous slit-gown at the Oscars.
Freida Pinto followed up her day’s look with a striking black sequin Versace gown, again with a slit, for the Opening Night Dinner. For both day and night she her hair was pulled back in a bun, keeping her makeup and accessories minimal.
Freida Pinto went for haute couture on the second day too. Pinto’s lime green sheer lace gown with a thigh-high split for the ‘Rust and Bone’ premiere was right off the Atelier Versace Spring 2012 runway.
Although she has stayed away from anything dramatic so far, Pinto went a bit experimental with the white and gold Paco Rabanne knee-length dress she wore for a L’Oreal bash in the night, a far cry from the green and black Lanvin dress she had worn at Cannes last year.
Lol...cheeky! Jane cops a feel! Jane Fonda or Jane Fondle Her? You decide! Hehehe!

SRK Unfairly Banned From Wankhede Stadium For 5 Years Because He Tried To Protect His Children

Mumbai Cricket Association President, Vilasrao Deshmukh, announced on Friday, that Shahrukh Khan (aka SRK) will not be allowed to enter the Wankhede Stadium for five years. So basically, the actor has been banned for 5 years.

Reportedly, SRK got into a heated argument with the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials and the security staff. Later on, they alleged that SRK was drunk. However, the actor denied it saying, he was just angry and not drunk.

It all started when SRK, in a furious state of mind, started shouting at the security personnel and officials when he noticed his children being “manhandled” by them.

The MCA filed a complaint with Mumbai’s Marine Drive police station.

Shah Rukh told reporters outside his residence:
“I don’t think that my behavior was incorrect or I did something illegal. I think what I did was correct. They are my kids and I have a responsibility towards them. I will not apologise. They (officials) should apologise to me.”

Recounting his version, the 46-year-old said: “I had gone to pick up my children who were there to watch the match. I went there, congratulated my team and when I came back, I saw that there was a gentleman manhandling the children. They were pushing little girls. I just told him that this is not the way to behave.

“He (the official) spoke something in Marathi, something which I can’t even repeat… I said he should not speak to me like this. It is extremely disturbing to see the way they manhandled children…I won’t deny that I could have said something in a fit of anger," he added.

SRK wasn’t drunk.
“I just drink socially. It is an easy way to pick on the celebrities and say things like that they were drunk or were angry.” The version of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) was completely different.

“This is a grave matter. I have called for an urgent meeting and we shall discuss the matter, following which we will decide the future course of action", union minister and MCA president, Vilasrao Deshmukh told IANS.

Yeah yeah yeah...Whatever!!! Stop harassing my favourite Bollywood actor!!! He did the right thing trying to protect his children, which shows that he is a good dad. Leave him alone oh mbok!!!

To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!”

E4 PR's 1st Hero Of The Year Is Obi Emelonye - Shocking Revelations Including Unseen Photos Exclusive To E4 PR. Post Endorsed By Award Winning Journalist, Shaibu Husseini.

Award Winning Nollywood Producer & Director, Obi Emelonye.

Welcome to our first hero of the year post and if you missed the notification yesterday, you can view it here: E4 PR's Hero Of The Year Posts

Grab your hankies, for you are about to go on a tear-jerking journey towards love that is larger than life.

I know Obi Emelonye as a talented movie producer and director and I am certain that a lot of you are aware that he produced and directed the highly acclaimed Award Winning movie, The Mirror Boy, starring Genevieve Nnaji, Osita Iheme, Edward Kagutuzi and many others; and he is about to premiere his even more star-studded and much-talked-about Last Flight to Abuja (details at the end of this post).

Obi is a very lively person and has always been the picture of health. He is very funny as well, so the general picture I have of him is not unexpected, as his character has never betrayed otherwise.

When I saw Obi last year at Ruke Amata's Class Act, where he had come to offer his input on acting to the students, he was his usual bubbly self and even had me bent double with laughter at his hysterical jokes. Little did I know that I was looking at one of the most noble people that I have ever known; and I mean this from the bottom of my heart. I did not realise as well, that Obi had just "played Russian Roulette with his life" (for want of better words) purely for the sake of love, and was actually in the recovery stages at the time.

I recently came across an article by sheer coincidence while doing a research on a project, and it was Obi's name in the headline that captured my attention. Please read: Obi Emelonye's Sacrifice Of Love

I have a Ugandan friend whose brother chickened out of a similar decision on the D-day. He had flown from London to India to meet his brother for the arranged operation and on the day of the operation, his brother was a no-show. His wife and mother who were with him, made frantic calls, all to no avail. Nobody knows his brother's reasons for backing out and it is easy to be judgemental when you are not the one faced with such an agonizing decision to make. Indeed, I was judgemental myself, when my friend's jaundiced eyes betrayed his fragile condition. I remember wondering at the time how his own blood brother could be so hard-hearted. Through it all though, he kept saying that he'd never blame his brother because it is a life-changing decision.

I had bumped into Obi and his wife at a movie premiere a few days before reading that piece and we all happily posed for photos together. Now I reflected on how happy they looked and then the stark realisation of what (God forbid) could have been, hit me like a hurricane, as I recalled his words about his wife's worry, how emotional he felt when he was saying goodbye to his children and how he had actually prepared his will. So Obi, after being informed that he could die, still went ahead and prepared his will? And then left The Mirror Boy halfway for a journey that he wasn't certain he'd return alive from? Apart from stating the obvious, I have now discovered that this an example of the type of FAITH that God requires of us.

I suddenly remembered my Ugandan friend and realised that I hadn't heard from him in a long time; and then found myself making a critical analysis of why his brother did not turn up for the planned operation. I had a mental picture of him about to leave and of his wife kneeling on the floor, holding onto his leg, crying and pleading with him not to go, and his children all gathered around their mum crying and echoing her pleas. I cannot begin to comprehend the emotional torture inflicted on his heart, the reverse psychology, the stark realisation that this could be the last time he would be seeing his family...it is heart wrenching even imagining the scenario.

For the first time as well, I realised how wrong I was to have judged that guy; more so because even in sober reflection, I still cannot say, in all honesty, that I can do what brave, golden-hearted Obi did. Like his doctor, I was also meeting a donor for the first time and seeing someone that I know faced with the same decision that guy had to make, especially after reading his detailed narration of the entire episode and procedure, made me shudder with realisation at the gravity of it all and it was a very humbling experience. Suffice to say, it is not an easy decision to make, therefore please join me in welcoming our first HERO OF THE YEAR, Obi Emelonye, and as I say to him, "I duff my hat to you sir" and to his beautiful wife for standing by her husband's decision even in the face of negative consequences, "You are blessed among women and now that the worst is over, yourself and your household shall constantly receive God's showers of blessings, In Jesus' Mighty Name- AMEN"!

It is also important to stress that, my revelations about what I may do if faced with the same situation, are however, just my honest narration of my battle with fear; and should not deter anyone from being a donor if the need ever arises. In fact, Obi actually sounds like a doctor (lol) when he carefully educates me about how everyone can live a perfectly normal long life with one kidney. Talking about long life, Obi mentioned in that interview that the blessings that he got from his mum will last him a lifetime. Can you see it actually manifesting? Since the operation, God  has actually increased Obi's blessings. Look at how successful The Mirror Boy was. And as for Last Flight To Abuja...are you willing to bet on its success? I cannot bet on it...God's blessings go beyond our imagination. I have witnessed God's blessings upon the lives of good people and am always affirmative that God does not cease to amaze when He decides to bless deserving people. Obi is actually going to outlive everyone's imagination...all filled with immense blessings. Well, at least I am glad that I have nabbed him first as our hero of the month! Hehehe! ;)

I managed to squeeze some additional information out of Obi that would have made you realise that he deserves even more accolade, but my noble friend thinks they are too personal to share and as he made light of it in his usual funny manner, even teased me about "not going overboard" with what I write. I wish I could quote him. Too funny! Obi is so funny and is always smiling, that it is hard to imagine him ill. I didn't get much luck with the photos too, as many of them are also personal. I managed to get 3 (1 is exclusive) from him after being a "persistent pest" (lol) and for a man who has already doled out so much love, I am sensitive enough to accept whatever he can offer. :D

Last Flight To Abuja is about to be premiered and you can't even afford to miss it. If you missed my previous posts on it, please click on the link below for my most recent post, which has all the information needed. Many thanks for reading and please share on your sites and different social networks. God bless you in advance for this goodwill act.
