Nollywood filmmaker, Obi Emelonye has given his son, D’Kachy his first and major movie role in his recent film, Onye Ozi.
The 10-year-old acted alongside established acts led by Okey Bakassi in his father’s new flick which was premiered in Uk and Nigeria recently.
When asked, Obi confirmed giving his son his first movie role after discovering his talent at age 5.
In his words, “My son’s name is D’Kachy and he is 10 and has been acting since he was 5 years. But I felt that there was no need to rush him into film until he was ready. I think he is now and you can see that in his performance. He is my son and of course I will support him in his career and give him every opportunity to fulfill his potential.”
