The concert is part of the R&B artiste’s Set The World On Fire Tour, and will feature songs from her latest album Girl On Fire, as well as her earlier chart-topping hits.
The 14-time Grammy Award-winner rose to prominence in 2001 when her debut single Fallin’ topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Keys, who has sold over 65 million records, is from New York and found fame at 4 starring in an episode of 1980s sitcom The Cosby Show.
She learnt the piano when she was 7 and began writing music at 14.
Keys recorded the songs Rock Wit U and Rear View Mirror which were featured on the soundtracks of the films Shaft (2000) and Dr Dolittle 2 (2001), respectively.
In 2001, she recorded her first studio album Songs In A Minor which incorporated classical piano, R&B, soul and jazz.
It sold over 12 million copies and contained the hit singles Fallin’, A Woman’s Worth, How Come You Donít Call Me and Girlfriend.
Songs In A Minor led Keys to win five Grammy Awards in 2002 for Song Of The Year, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song (Fallin’), Best New Artiste and Best R&B Album.
Her second album The Diary Of Alicia Keys in 2003 sold 4.4 million copies in the United States.
The album’s singles included You Don’t Know My Name, If I Ain’t Got You, Diary and Karma.
Keys won Best R&B Video for If I Ainít Got You at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards.
Keys’ third studio album As I Am was released in 2007 with the hit singles No One, Like You’ll Never See Me Again, Teenage Love Affair and Superwoman.
No One earned her the Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song at the 2008 Grammy Awards.
Keys and The White Stripes’ lead vocalist Jack White recorded the theme song of Quantum Of Solace, the first duet in James Bond soundtrack history.
Her fifth studio album Girl On Fire was released in late 2012.
Keys’ musical inspiration include Whitney Houston, Prince, Nina Simone, Barbra Streisand, Marvin Gaye, Quincy Jones, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder.
She made her film debut in 2007 in the crime film Smokin’ Aces.
Keys is active in humanitarian work and is the global ambassador for non-profit organisation Keep A Child Alive which provides humanitarian assistance to people suffering from HIV and AIDS in Africa.
