R&B singer Chris Brown will be back in court Wednesday for a probation hearing stemming from his 2009 assault on Rihanna, but a recent arrest could mean more legal troubles ahead.
Brown, 24, will appear in a Los Angeles court, where a judge will review his probation for the attack on the pop star, who is also his ex-girlfriend, the Associated Press reports. The court appearance will be Brown’s first since he was arrested last month at a Washington, D.C. hotel. Police charged him with a misdemeanor after a 20-year-old alleged that Brown punched him for trying to snap a photo with the singer. Brown denied the accusations.
He has since entered and left rehab, and must complete 1,000 hours of community service again after authorities questioned whether he initially fulfilled that probation requirement.
