Darlene - Idara [Produced Cobhams]

New Music from Darlene - Idara
Esther Ademosu for E4 PR

Set to be the anthem to see the New Year in with, Idara is the tour de force single released by award- winning entertainer extraordinaire, Darlene.

In a music career spanning almost two decades Darlene has worked alongside notable celebrities both home and away - names including Charley Boy, Sammie Okposo, Lt. Shotgun, Zubby, Enebeli and Cobhams, whose production on this record (Idara) is simply exquisite.

Darlene’s foray into music began with recording radio jingles for some of your favourite stations. Now, armed with an enviable level of success, the Akwa Ibom bombshell returns with Idara, a dancefloor filler that signals a change in the music game [wowch!!]

Yet with all of her accomplishments, Darlene manages to remain so gracious and more humble than most! She reveals that among her favourite things to do are some very down-to-earth activities including travelling, watching TV and spending time with her family as part of her leisure. Very much one of the people...and very much part of her appeal.

No stranger to Nollywood, Darlene has also been cast in over 50 movies and appeared as leading lady in the Opa Williams smash, Maama (1998), for which she scooped "Best New Actress" title at the REEL Awards
(1999).

The artist also has two previous albums to her credit; her debut album titled, Miracles and a Christmas album, entitled Ukabadisua.
Darlene’s third album is evidence of her steady paced progression. With 18 edgy, fresh tracks, be sure to get yours when released in the New Year, 2013.

In the meantime we thought you were deserving of this treat. Get with it and enjoy!:
