Kareena Kapoor: Confirms She is Doing 'Heroine'
Kareena Kapoor will step in as protagonist in Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine, replacing Aishwarya Rai who was dropped from the project after she announced her pregnancy.
Kareena, 30, who recently went to Hyderabad for a script narration and talks with Bhandarkar, has approved the script, but not yet finalized her dates.
"I've said yes to Madhur and okayed the script. Now the dates and fee etc are being worked out," says Kareena. [via HT]
Heroine was scripted with Kareena in mind, but the role went to Aishwarya, because Bhandarkar refused to accommodate script changes sought by Kareena.
Kareena confirmed that Bhandarkar has now tweaked the script to her liking, but played down the significance of Bhandarkar's caving in.
"Of course. Madhur has been quite accommodating. But frankly, I don't know what the fuss is about. It's not an explosive film anyway," she said.
