The IRS wants O.J. Simpson to pay his taxes and just slapped him with another tax lien.
According to TMZ, the total amount he owes between federal and California state taxes is a whopping $515 thousand.
"The Juice" may have gotten away with murder, but the IRS isn't going to let him skip out on paying a half-million dollars in taxes.
O.J. Simpson is serving a 33 year prison sentence at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada for numerous felonies. However, being in prison doesn't mean he doesn't have to pay the IRS.
Simpson was found guilty in 2008 of a several felonies that included armed robbery and kidnapping. He's eligible for parole in 2017 and you can bet that the IRS will be greeting him at the prison exit.
According to TMZ, a federal lien filed in December for the $17,000 in taxes for due for 2011.
Prior to that, the IRS filed a lien for almost $180,000 for the years 2007-2010. Additionally, the State of California states that he owes over $318,000 for the year 2000.
That brings the grand total O.J. Simpson owes to the IRS and the State of California to over $515,000.
Hopefully O.J. Simpson is saving the pennies he's earning cleaning toilets or telling tales about his football career while he's locked up in prison.
He's going to need every cent when he gets out because it's likely that the IRS will scoop up a portion, if not all of, his $19,000-a-month NFL pension.
