On this week's runway versus the red carpet, we take a look at dresses worn by Hollywood's fashionista and recently married lady Kim Kardashian and Bollywood actress, Dia Mirza.
First up, we take a look at Kim Kardashian, who looks amazing in this white knee length dress. While the dress looks over-sized for the runaway model, Kim carries of the dress perfectly. The dress goes well with her curves, and we love the way her shoes match her purse; it’s a great contrast with the white coloured dress. Kim Kardashian on the red carpet wins this one!
Next up, we take a look at Bollywood’s model turned actress, Dia Mirza. Although the colour suits Dia, her accessories don’t go too well with the dress. Her hair makes the neckline of the dress disappear, which could have looked better if she tied up her hair in a nice bun. Runway wins this one!

Behind the Scenes of Nicole Scherzinger's 'Wet' Video
Nicole tells the fans to 'say a prayer for her' as she gets ready to shoot the final scene which involves a lot of dancing! The video entails the dancers and Nicole Scherzinger trying to produce an outdoor shot indoors which looks like it took a lot of work from the crew.
Nicole and her friends are trying to have a pool party indoors in what looks like an abandoned area. Nicole calls it 'her underground world where she lets everything go". The cops are trying to find Nicole and company throughout the sizzling video.
This footage also has an appearance from the 'Wet' director Justin Francis who also gives us an idea of what the video was trying to create.
At the end of the backstage look, Nicole tells her fans 'we put a lot of hard work into this video and we hope you enjoy it! God bless'. Thanks for the 'killer love' Nicole!

Deadly bomb blast rocks Nigeria UN building (Photos).
ABUJA (AFP) - A bomb rocked the UN building in the Nigerian capital Abuja on Friday, killing a number of people, leaving others trapped and causing heavy damage, officials and witnesses said.
Some witnesses reported that the bomb occurred after a suspect rammed a car through the front gate.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but an Islamist sect known as Boko Haram has been blamed for scores of bombings in recent months.
"A number of dead people and injured have been moved in ambulances to the hospital," police spokesman Yemi Ajayi said. "We don't have the exact figures yet and we don't want to guess."
A member of security personnel speaking on condition of anonymity spoke of "many dead."
"It looks like a suicide bombing," the source said at the scene. "A guy drove a Honda car, forced his way through the gate and rammed into the building, and then the bomb exploded."
One UN staff member said people were still trapped in the building that sustained heavy damage.
"I don't know what is going on. Many people are still trapped upstairs and we need a crane to bring people down," said the UN employee who did not want to give her name.

Kefee Opens For India Arie At Africa Festival Of The Arts In Chicago
With her performance, Kefee would join the exclusive club of music greats to fly the African banner on the AFA platform like Angelique Kidjo and Hugh Masekela.
The show is expected to be seen by an estimated 30,000 crowd on Labour Day Weekend, September 5, 2011 at the main stage of Festival Dee Parmer Woodtor, named after the co-founder.
Kefee who jetted out of the country two weeks ago with her band members is on a month’s six-city tour of the United States.
“If I ever liked African music, this experience has made me like it more now than I ever did. I am very proud of what I do. The reception of my kind of music has been overwhelming even though some of my audience don’t understand my language yet they respond enthusiastically”, she told EE exclusively from her US-based.

Funke Akindele Aka JENIFA is a year older, Today August 24 2011. She was born on the 24th of August 1977. As a young girl, Funke had a dream to become a big Actress, writer, and producer. Her mum discovered her talent and she supported and inspired her. Staying true to her dreams, she started writing scripts in her secondary school days. On the sideline, she also cultivates another passion- a love for debating.
With an OND in mass communication from Ogun state Polythecnic at the age of 19, Funke's journey into the world of entertainment was challenging, and filled with auditions. At the end of each session she was considered not fit for the role.
For a long time the coveted lead role weren't forthcoming; not even a 'silent blink' otherwise called 'waka pass' – As an upcoming actress craving for a break she never gave up. Finally she got a minor role in 'Naked wire', a movie produced by Opa Williams.
In1997, turning 20, Funke attended an audition at Swift Studios for a TV series on teenage reproductive health, titled 'I Need to Know'. She got the leading role of 'Bisi' where she had to talk like a teenager. By this time she was a law student at Unilag.
For her 'I need to Know', sponsored by UNFPA was a project that she missed a lot having worked on the set for four years. After graduation she got a few roles- Egg of life, Break Up and final Whistle. Soon she joined the Yoruba movie industry, pitching a tent with the Odunfa caucus - led by the trio of Yinka Quadri , Taiwo Hassan ( Ogogo) and Abbey Lanre.

Quake rocks Washington area, felt on East Coast
One of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded on the East Coast shook buildings and rattled nerves from South Carolina to New England on Tuesday and forced the evacuations of parts of the Capitol, White House and Pentagon.There were no immediate reports of deaths, but fire officials in Washington said there were at least some injuries. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake registered magnitude 5.8 and was centered 40 miles northwest of Richmond, Va.Two nuclear reactors at the North Anna Power Station, in the same county as the epicenter, were automatically taken off line by safety systems, said Roger Hannah, a spokesman for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.The earthquake came less than three weeks before the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, and in both Washington and New York it immediately triggered fears of something more sinister than a natural disaster.
At the Pentagon, a low rumbling built until the building itself was shaking, and people ran into the corridors of the complex. The shaking continued there, to shouts of "Evacuate! Evacuate!"
The Park Service closed all monuments and memorials on the National Mall, and ceiling tiles fell at Reagan National Airport outside Washington. All flights there were put on hold.
