If you dare ask why, it's because "they proved that content truly is king. Or, in this case, king and queen," says the publication.
And of course, Beyonce managed to release an album with zero publicity, proving that music can win over hype.
"She took a high risk and was highly rewarded for it," says Guy Oseary (No. 38), who manages Madonna and U2 at his Untitled Entertainment, told the magazine. "I love what she did. Thank you, Beyoncé—it brings much-needed excitement and buzz to our industry."
