No one expected Beyoncé to drop a studio album anytime soon, especially not after announcing 16 new tour dates for her ‘Mrs. Carter World Tour.’ But between hair whips and fierce dance moves, it looks like Bey found time to hit the studio. Her fifth studio album, titled Beyoncé, is now exclusively available for download on iTunes.
It’s described as a visual album. From the tracklist seen on iTunes, it includes 14 track and visuals to go along with each one. And impressively, this is all new material. Collaborations include Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, Frank Ocean, Drake, Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, Michelle Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche, and Blue Ivy.
While a small clip of a tribal themed “Grown Woman” leaked to the internet over the weekend, it doesn’t look like the same video that’s included on this album. This version includes old footage from the singer’s childhood, but then again, that’s just a preview.
Head over to iTunes and cop the full album. Songs will be available for individual purchase on Dec 20th.
