Ameesha Patel Says It Was Tough Playing A Dumb Blonde In "Race 2"

Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, who played Anil Kapoor's assistant in Hindi Bollywood director duo, Abbas and Mustan Burmawalla's "Race 2", says it was tough playing a dumb blonde.

"Cherry is a dumb blonde character. It was tough for me because to do a comedy role and that too; a dumb character is always tough. If you do over-the-top acting, you can irritate the audience," the 37-year-old actress said at the special screening of the film.

"So it is important to identify that fine line, where not to overact and to stay subdued. But there were Anil Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan whose comic timings were great and they helped me," she added.

Directed by Abbas-Mustan, "Race 2" also stars Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and John Abraham. It hit the theatres on Friday.
