Cameron Diaz has revealed she 'burst into tears' after a friend accidentally cut her hair short.
The actress, who debuted the crop cut in January, told Jay Leno she never intended for her long blonde tresses to be chopped off.
'There was a little misunderstanding. I said I just wanted a little bit cut off and it went from here to here,' Diaz said during an appearance on talk show last night.
'It was one of those moments where I just couldn’t … I just burst into tears.'
'I felt so vulnerable. For a woman to all of a sudden have no hair,' she continued, clutching at what's left of her locks. 'Oh my God!'
Diaz, who wore a little black dress last night, explained that the mishap occurred in December before a scheduled holiday.
'It was the night before she was leaving to go away for Christmas with her family. It was 10 o'clock at night and we were running around just trying to get in the haircut,' she said.
