Etisalat Launches Cutting Edge Masterbrand Bar Codes

On April 5, Global telecommunications giant, Etisalat, launched the cutting edge Masterbrand barcodes at the Zinnia Hall, Eko Hotel, Lagos. The barcodes are in form of a QR code which is one of the most popular type of two-dimensional barcodes. It was designed to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. The launch ended weeks of speculation on the presence of trendy looking barcodes that were seen all over metropolitan Lagos.



Even the performances were laced with the new attitude; Tiwa Savage dazzling the audience with her 10 blokes, as W4 took control, MI thrilling the audience and Wande Coal performing for the first time in a while closed the show with a big bang! It was definitely not low key. The Top 2 contestants of Nigerian Idol Season two also thrilled the audience with a Duet with Praiz and comedian Buchi was at hand to get the guests rolling off their seats.


According to Global telecommunications giant Etisalat “The barcodes are set to provide speedy and effortless access to Etisalat on the internet. In other words, these barcodes narrow the information gap between Etisalat and its subscribers online.”

The event had in attendance the CEO of Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Steve Evans who delivered a short speech on ‘The brand journey so far.’ A cutting edge fashion show and comedy skits by popular comedians were part of the evening’s entertainment. The event was kicked off by a glitzy black carpet.
