I feel really bad about all the horrible comments that i have been seeing on so many sites against actor, Jim Iyke, since his recent unfortunate incident came to light. Jim has practically been castigated by the "Office Of ITK Public Opinion". If you were not there and did not witness the said allegations take place, then why are you being so quick to judge? Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"?
Seriously, i think Jim Iyke is greatly misunderstood and people should just give the guy a break. Jim is brutally honest and has admitted publicly that he has anger issues and revealed that he was attending Anger Management Sessions, which he finds therapeutic.
His exact words: "I will not disrespect you by lying about the fact that I do get into one or two brushes with people here and there. I will not give any excuse that I have never been that kind of person. I am taking a Anger Management Session now, it was advised not only by my fiancée, but also by my agent. It is a very interesting session for my well being. One thing about our society is that we have not accepted celebrities with their whims and caprices. An actor is allowed to be eccentric. There is a thin line between the person you see on stage and the real actor. A lot of people do not understand that." This statement moved me to tears. For a top celebrity like himself to come out and admit that hey, i'm not perfect and i'm taking steps to deal with my imperfections, Jim has to be commended and respected. At least he doesn't pretend to be what he's not.
I can honestly tell you as well, that contrary to popular belief, Jim Iyke is actually not arrogant; rather he is confident and his aura exudes this. People misconstrue his confidence as arrogance. And regarding his anger issues, from my experience dealing with friends that have similar problems, these people do not talk a lot. When they are attacked, bullied and judged (generally by people who do not know them), they try to ignore it at first, but when the jibes keep going on and on and on, the pent-up anger welled up inside them will eventually snap! This is the reason why Jim may appear rude when he confronts his critics on Twitter or in interviews.
Please people, i implore you, do not take delight in kicking a man when he is down. I am sure that a lot of us have been in different unfortunate situations before God lifted us back up. This is just a temporary glitch for Jim, he will definitely rise again. Celebrities are human beings like the rest of us and just like us, they also need love and support. Jim may be a tough cookie, but he does have feelings and is obviously hurt by all this. This is a man that has put his hand up and publicly acknowledged his imperfections. Am i the only one who sees this as a cry for help? This is a guy that has delighted and entertained us on screen for years and now he needs our support; so ask yourselves this question honestly and let your conscience guide you: "Am i going to stand by Jim or will i keep judging him"? I rest my case.
God bless.
i dont hate or like jim iyke but i do hate it when people say horrible things about him cos i believe that most of the things they say about him is 'hear- as they were not there to witness it, talk about nigerians and their judgmental attitude! funny part is jim doesnt care and he keeps doing his thing..ride on jim ls keep taking more pics and acting more movies to frustrate ur haters.

ReplyDeleteDear writer,
ReplyDeleteI am not jim's fan neither do i comment on his wins nor woes but from a personal experience with the subject i beg to disagree with your economical write up. Actually what you meant to write is 'there's a thin line between confidence and arrogance' and the two can be misconstrued.
How can you imply being confident is acting disrespectful and inappropriate. Confidence is exuding grace without airs nor displaying a "i am brutally honest" placard on your chest.
Jim needs to get rid of that chip on his shoulder first and if you are his PR no offence, just understand no one thinks Mike ezu something and the rest of the actors are arrogant as Jim is.
I will stop here before i come across as a burnt dude (not a girl like u would think) OK.bye
I have a lot to say and if you like to post it after you read it to the end, great and if you, e no change the price of fish for Yaba market. I will speak from my own personal experience, maybe the three times I have witnessed him in his element, I might have caught him on a bad day each time. The dude I saw was LOUD,RUDE,ARROGANT, a SHOW BOAT and totally FULL OF HIMSELF. The first instance, I can say, okay he's having a bad ay or something but second and third time? Give me a break! You might see a different side of him being that you know him personally but the self he shows to the public is not humble, warm, fuzzy or anything approachable or nice. I will give you an example, this man came to the NEA award in 2010 in New York City and wouldn't settle himself down in one place especially after he caught himself trying to "fashionably late." He and his entourage are wearing out the rug going back stage and coming back to their seats and back and forth and back and forth! When he is called up to accept the award he won, he went up there with his entourage and started talking about his haters this, his haters that, who cares? A simple, "thank you" would have sufficed as the classy, dignified, gracious thing to do. I don't know your haters and I don't care but it said more about him than them when he went up there to address these faceless people. There were other major/minor celebrities there including TUFACE Idibia, M.I., Jagga Jesse, Omowunmi (the host), Gbenga Akinnagbe (a New York actor in several major productions like The Wire with Idris Elba on HBO, Nurse Betty w/Edie Falco, Pelham 1,2,3 w/ Denzel Washington and John Travolta) and NOT ONE of them was strutting back and forth like a peacock or made long winding speeches about all the haters they've acquired on their road to fame! If he is going to fight all the "haters" out there, he will be at it forever and wasting his time and energy in the process. He will never please everyone in this life, just do your job as an actor and leave the rest to God and if it really bothers him that much then get the hell off twitter and stop reading crap people write about him!
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, I admire that he has been made aware of his behavior and he's working on it. I am glad that he has decided to work on his anger issues but please, let us see the result of the work he has done on himself before you try to make us change our view points. I don't get what this personal plea is about, this is the life he chose to live. I don't see any of Jennifer Aniston's or Ryan Reynold's people having Perez Hilton write personal pleas on their behalf and that's because they don't feel they need to defend their life style to anyone. They understand that people are going to talk regardless of what they do in this world. Live and let live, Jim. Be a big boy and let your actions speak louder than your personal words or that of your PR person/blogger!
A, B, Cya!
@ Anon 20:52, i know what i "meant to write" and still stand by everything that i have written. You are entitled to disagree with me and that's fine.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if i was trying to point out the difference between confidence and arrogance, then your statement or what you assumed i meant to write, "'there's a thin line between confidence and arrogance' and the two can be misconstrued", would have been apt. However, i was/am talking about Jim. People that do not understand him often do misconstrue his confidence as arrogance.
Finally, i am not Jim's PR and hey, you are entitled to your opinion, so never mind what "a girl like me would think". Lol.
@ Seriously Speaking: I believe in freedom of speech, so comments on this blog are not screened. Comments will only be deleted if they contain foul/abusive language or if they are spiteful/vindictive.
ReplyDeleteAgain (like i just informed the Anon above), i am not Jim's PR. Also, i am nobody's blogger; i blog because i enjoy writing. Moreover, as a showbiz entrepreneur and PR to some stars, i blog about Entertainment news on celebrities worldwide (Hollywood, Nollywood and Bollywood) and projects concerning E4 PR/E4 PR stars, to keep the public informed.
I wrote this piece based on my personal knowledge of Jim.
It's great to see that people like jim iyke are showing the world their imperfection.
