After seven years of marriage Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have announced that they have decided to call it quits. Their rep confirmed the split to US Weekly with a statement from the couple:
“We have decided to end
our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”
The couple had a simple marriage at Lopez's Beverly Hills home on June 5, 2004. Lopez, 41, gave birth to their twins, Max and Emme, on February 22, 2008.
This is Jennifer's third divorce; she married Ojani Noa in 1997 and her backup dancer Cris Judd in 2001.
Marc, 42, was earlier married to former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. The couple had two sons. They separated in 2002 after two years of marriage and got divorced in 2004.
